Questions?
How early should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive approximately 10 to 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This gives you enough time to complete any required patient forms and allows our reception team to confirm your details before your consultation begins.
What happens during my first visit?
Your first visit usually includes a review of your dental and medical history, a discussion about your concerns and a clinical examination of your teeth, gums and bite. X-rays or other diagnostic records may be recommended when clinically necessary. Your dentist will explain the findings and discuss any suitable treatment options with you.
Do you accept medical aid?
Medical aid benefits and claiming arrangements vary between schemes, plans and treatment types. Please bring your medical aid card and membership details to your appointment. Contact your preferred branch beforehand to confirm the current claiming and payment process.
Can I book an orthodontic consultation directly?
Yes. You can contact your preferred branch or complete the online appointment form to request an orthodontic consultation. A referral is not normally required unless another healthcare practitioner has specifically referred you.
Will treatment begin at my first appointment?
This depends on the reason for your visit and the treatment required. Many first appointments focus on assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning. Treatment may be completed at the same appointment when appropriate, but more involved procedures are usually scheduled separately.
Are online appointment requests confirmed immediately?
No. An online form submits an appointment request. A member of the practice team will contact you to confirm the available date and time. Your appointment is only confirmed once you have received direct confirmation from the practice.
